How much would it cost me to fix an automatic transmission on a 1995 Ford Windstar?

They are selling a 95 Ford Windstar for $500. The outside looks ok and has 125,000 miles. The engine looks fine. There is a problem with the transmission. Assuming this is the only issue with this car, what's the price range for a transmission for this type of car? Give your estimate assuming it's something simple, and also your estimate for the worst case scenario. The vehicle itself will cost me only $500, so I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the trouble and $$$How much would it cost me to fix an automatic transmission on a 1995 Ford Windstar?about $2000 to rebuild the trans... and then you still only have a $1000 van.. and not a very good one at that..
