How much would it cost to have an entire back tail light replaced on a 1997 Ford Explorer?

I have a 1997 Ford Explorer with a cracked tail light that now has filled up with water and is slowing burning out. it has a nasty black color to it now and I want to replace the WHOLE back tail light. problem is, will this cost a lot to replace the whole thing? because it's cracked and has water in it, so it will need to be replaced eventually. How much would it cost to have an entire back tail light replaced on a 1997 Ford Explorer? It will cost a lot if you have it done at a Ford dealer or even if you buy a new taillight and do it yourself.

Alternatively, you could go to a wrecking yard and buy a tail light and put it in yourself. This will save you a considerable amount of money. How much would it cost to have an entire back tail light replaced on a 1997 Ford Explorer?I got a pair of rear lenses from E-Bay for my F-150 for $24. Peopolle take the factory ones off and install "Euro" style so you might locate one on E-Bay
