I have 2002 Ford Explorer with factory security/alarm. Can I get remote start installed as well?
My Explorer has factory anti-theft and security alarm. I would like to have a remote start on this vehicle for cold weather season. Can this be done and does it have to be a remote starter system from Ford. Manual states "no after-market" remote starts or problems will arise; that I am to have only Ford remote starter installed at a dealership. Since its relatively expensive, I'd like to have it done correctly the first time so everything works. Thanks!I have 2002 Ford Explorer with factory security/alarm. Can I get remote start installed as well?I do not have a ford...i have an infiniti FX 35 and i got a remote start installed for a relatively cheap price...and it wasn't in a infiniti factory. They can do it relatively easily without any problems and your security won't be bypassed at all. just make sure you go to a trusty mechanic or body shop which every supplies the gear and would install it for you.I have 2002 Ford Explorer with factory security/alarm. Can I get remote start installed as well?Yes but you may have to buy a security system bypass. Talk to a professional installer about your car before you make any purchases.I have 2002 Ford Explorer with factory security/alarm.
