What is the Toyota equivalent of a Ford Ranger?

I'm looking for a light truck, similar to a Ford Ranger, Chevy S10 or a GMC Sonoma and I was just wondering the Toyota equivalent to this? Also if you know of any other light trucks I would appreciate it!What is the Toyota equivalent of a Ford Ranger?Tacoma. The Ranger is ok, but the Tacomas are near bullet-proof! By capacities and features, the Toyota equivalent of the group is the Toyota Tacoma or the made-in-Japan Toyota Pickup (1994 and earlier). However, by quality, there is no Toyota equivalent, as the Toyota Tacoma stands far apart from the rest.

The V6 Toyota Tacoma is on AutoOnInfo.net's very selective list of the Best of 2009 based on Consumer Reports' 10-year Reliability Verdict history, with a Composite Reliability Score of +0.85 on a scale of -1.00 to +1.00.

And both the 4-cylinder and the V6 Toyota Tacoma are on both of AutoOnInfo.net's lists of Vehicles with Best Engine Reliability, with respective Engine Reliability Ratings of +1.00 and +0.88 on a scale of -1.00 to +1.00, and Vehicles with Best Transmission Reliability, with respective Transmission Reliability Ratings of +1.00 and +0.88 on a scale of -1.00 to +1.00.What is the Toyota equivalent of a Ford Ranger?that would be the tacoma. not a bad truck, but i prefer the ranger myself. you can also think about the dodge dakota, though it is a mid size truck. nissan also has a compact truck, i forget what they call it though. it isnt as good as the toyota or the ford though. What is the Toyota equivalent of a Ford Ranger?
