I have a 1968 ford f100. It has gas but the truck wont turn over, even when I use the carb spray. What could be the problem? How do I or could I fix it? Please... I'm new at this.My 1968 ford truck wont start what could be the problem and how can I fix it?If it does not crank or turn over, then you have a bad battery or starter. Try jumping the battery, if it cranks then you know the starter is good and the problem is either a bad battery or the alternator is not recharging the battery when it does run.
good luck.My 1968 ford truck wont start what could be the problem and how can I fix it?Probably your batteryMy 1968 ford truck wont start what could be the problem and how can I fix it?If your engine is cranking (things are turning) go with the other answers. But if nothing is turning
then look for rust or corrosion on the electrical system, especially ground straps and grounding
wires. Next look at the starter relay which will be mounted most likely on the back side of the
radiator support or on the inside of the right side fender. Also check the large wire going to the
starter. It could be loose or corroded (disconnect the battery negative cable before touching that
wire!!!) Good luck.

I'm not sure what you mean. If the engine won't turn over it means there's no movement of any engine parts when you try to start it. If you mean it won't fire then you need to check the cap and rotor for spark. That model has a condenser and point set I think. If the condenser is bad it will not allow fire. So check the cap rotor, points and condenser if it has them. The coil also needs tested. Good luck.
