My best advice would be to go to an
automotive place that sales tires... Sears, firestone, or americas tires would be my recommendation... They all have some of the best tires you can buy, and they will know the best type of tire for your car... Keep in mind that there are different types of tires based on your driving habits, so consider what type of driving you do most of, that way they can match you with the best tires based on what you tell them..,For example in my case I do a combination of freeway and highway driving, and I also take lots of road trips. I like something that's not noisey and a tire thats smooth, so based on my information, the sales associate can match my car with the best tires that meet my needs and wants... Also tires are ranked from good, better and best, which affects what price you pay... As far as brands michlen is my favorite, there one of the best brands out on the market... Goodyear, bridestone, perili and firestone are also really good brands as well... Good luck and I hope this helps!!!What kind of tires do I need to purchase for a Ford Focus? My 2012 Focus came with Continental All season tires and I would not recommend them. The car is very quiet. So quiet you can hear the tires WHINE all the time. I am going to pull them off the 16 inch rims this winter and put on some real snow tires on those OEM rims. Then I am going to sell the Continentals on Craigs List and next spring get 17 inch rims and summer tires. (I am not going to buy Continental snow tires or summer tires.....one set of tires was enough.)
As far as what you need, go to Tire Rack or Discount Tire. Just plug your information and they will show you what is available. What kind of tires do I need to purchase for a Ford Focus?
Your car uses 195/60/15 tires . Its not a Ferrari, its simply an entry level small car . The part I don't understand is why a 1 year old car would need tires so quickly . Try a set of Uniroyal Tiger Paws ( 4 for $ 250 )
Don't let anyone talk you into Michelins to protect your loved ones at $ 155 each or Pirelli's at $ 225 each. The rental car companies have good experiences with the Tiger Paws . Oh and find a place that does free installation and balancing and don't let them up sell you on a brake job eitherWhat kind of tires do I need to purchase for a Ford Focus?I go to the Flea Market, There is a guy there that has a Semi trailer filled with new tires. I got tires for my focus for 45 each and they installed them for 15.
240 for a new set of tires.!
Anywhere else they are 100 each or so.
Don't go to Walmart, their valve stems are so crappy you will need to have them replaced at Sears 9 months later because they will be leaking air. What kind of tires do I need to purchase for a Ford Focus?
