My 92 ford explorer keeps stalling out, I have change the fuel pump, fuel filter, I have also cleaned the MAF sensor, and cleaned the idealar. My question is what else can I do to stop it from stalling out.I am having a problem with my 92 ford explorer stalling out can some one help? You should check all the vacuum hoses and if not that maybe your fuel injectors might be bad or your fuel pump is going bad or your fuel pressure regulator might also be bad. And dont go to autozone they will tell you to get something you dont need and they dont have obd1 to check it anyways.I am having a problem with my 92 ford explorer stalling out can some one help?
You might have a trouble code even if your check engine light isn't on, but it'll be a KOER code, so you'll have to have your computer scanned while the engine is running: it's not a big deal, that' just how Ford did it with their OBD-I computers. I would also recommend checking the EGR valve: make sure it's not blocked up with carbon deposits, and that it is opening once the engine is warmed up. If the EGR system is good, and there's no KOER codes, then investigate for vacuum leaks. I had a tee fitting on my carbon canister that had completely cracked in half, and a broken fuel vapor line. Also, after 150k miles, your timing chain will be worn out. If you need to replace the water pump in the near future, replace the timing chain while you're at it. I did, and my transmission shifted much smoother from 2nd to 1st when approaching a stop: it was like having a new vehicle.I am having a problem with my 92 ford explorer stalling out can some one help?does it give a code? Autozone will pull codes for free. Find a near by store. Try unplugging the MAF and see if it runs better. If so, the MAF is shot. Need more info...when it stalls, is the motor hot, is it raining, is it all the time? etc.I am having a problem with my 92 ford explorer stalling out can some one help?
