My Father and I are restoring an old 1942 Ford Truck with a Flat-top V8 in it, not sure which of the possible two model v8's engines is in it at this point in time. We have a half destroyed copy of a manual, and need a new one. Anyone know where i can find a free one to download on the net?

o and i dont know if you know about lmctruck.com or not, but they are absolutely incredible. they have all the classic trucks and parts.
im restoring an 85, 78, and 79. they will give you a free catalog with every part on your truck, its the small hard to find parts that its really great for.
i made a large order and they even sent me a hand written thank you letter.
