How to get more horsepower out of my ford ranger?

I have a 1995 ford ranger with a 4.0 v6 and a 5 speed standard trany in it. The truck is completely stock and runs great, but I was wondering how I could get more horsepower out of it. If anyone has any ideas please tell me thanks:)How to get more horsepower out of my ford ranger? With a 6 you can't do much. 6's are not designed to be able to handle add-ons. Although the product might say it fit is, it is not good for the engine. About the only thing I would say would be a Cold Air intake. No turbos or superchargers. It really messes the engine up.How to get more horsepower out of my ford ranger? You can get a K%26amp;N air cleaner to start. This will give you more horsepower immediatly. You can also run high octane gas plus 104 octane boost. You can buy this at any auto parts store. If you really want to add horsepower swap your water pump over to a electris waterpump. Then add electric fans to radiator and instint HP.This will also add horsepower because your not taking away from your crankshaft, Change your pulleys and belts to add HP.Put some smog legal headers on with a 2 inch flowmaster exhaust for performance and sound. Go to Summitracing.com or Jegs.com for all your high performance parts and smog legal parts. If you race go to the track and be safe. I support the NHRA and care about a safe race enviroment. Go to NHRA.com to find a track near you. Good luckHow to get more horsepower out of my ford ranger?not much either put a 5.0 in it easy swap or lighten the load take the spare tire off and jack and dont carry anything in it extra
