I just got a 1971 Ford F250 3/4 ton. It's white but it looks pretty rough and has numerous rust spots throughout. I'm planning on painting it myself and already know the basic process. Now I'm deciding what type of paint I should use and whether I should just paint it white or change the color.What should use to paint my 71 Ford F250?Realize if you want to change the color your going to have to go thru the hassle of repainting the door jambs, inside of the doors, tail gate jambs, under the hood, etc.... This might seem like an easy task but its actually is a very time consuming process..... I changed the color on an S10 from Silver to white and it took more than twice the labor.... I even had to unbolt the pickup box and put it on saw horses so I could paint the back of the cab and front of the box correctly.... It looked great but what a headache....



I changed one ford truck from town truck school bus yellow to red.... On that one I actually painted the jambs with a brush using rustoleum red paint.... Doing all the jambs, under the hood, and between the box took about 6 hours total with a helper.... We de-greased the jambs of oil and wet sanded them with 600 grit paper.... I didn't completely remove the rear box... Just unbolted it and moved it back enough to get between them and roll them with a clothe roller to get the paint in-between there....



The prepped the outside of the truck so it could be sprayed with regualr auto painy....



Type of paint?... Base coat clear coat is the best but costs a fortune.... Figure over $300 for a large pickup and don't be surprised if the price reaches $500 or more....



Single stage enamel is cheap but the shine doesnt hold up for long....



Consider single stage urethane.... Its priced right and gives decent results.....

Hey guys ok i just got the game and installed it without any problems but when i try playing online i can't play Bad Company 2 online but i can play Single player without any issues on max settings. I have made an EA account and i can sign in and add friends but I cant join any servers.

Heres my issue:

When i search/refresh list for a server it just shows the message and just waits on. I have added my friends i try connecting through them but i cant a message pops up saying "Failed to connect to ea online" etc



NOTE: ( MY INTERNET IS TPG AND IM CURRENTLY CAPPED, USED UP ALL MY PEAK, MY NET IS REALLY SLOW)

Whilst yes, your bandwidth cap will affect you trying to play the game (it requires quite a bit) I doubt that would be the main cause.



1) If you have the BF:BC2 Beta on your PC, remove it and the released version then reinstall the release.

2) I had to open up ports on my firewall to connect to games (don't remember which but its easy to look it up on the forums)

3) You have to have the latest Punk-buster installed.

4) BC2 online server connection has been notorious for this issue. Their response was to open the server browser, select all the boxes and click search... Sure this worked, but ONLY AFTER you had done everything above.Battlefield Bad Company 2 Online!!?

Problems with latency and crashing?

Running Vista 32 bit home prem. with a brand new reformat on the OS. I started hearing crackling noises in an online game about 2 weeks ago with a lot of lag. I downloaded DPC latency detector and I was capping out with spike through the roof. Thought it was drivers so I updated all that I thought it could be and computer ran fine for about a week then I started hearing the same popping and crackling again and I knew what was coming. Looked at DPC and yet again spike through the roof. I decided to do a reformat and still now the problem persists.



I am running an Intel Duel core CPU and I noticed in device manager that Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controller and High Precision Event Timer doesn't have any drivers and I assume they're not working. I have the service pack 1 and 2. I tried using windows update to get them and says best drivers are installed but yet when I click on them it says there are no drivers installed. and I tried looking online everywhere for the drivers to no avail.



I have updated the motherboard through the Intel website and literally spent 4 days now trying everything I can possibly think of and I'm at a loss. I just don't know what to do because I really don't want to spend any money now close to Christmas.



At this point sometimes it takes windows forever to load, sometimes it loads right up. Sometimes I can go for a good 3-5 mins watching the latency and everything will be fine, then all the sudden BAM red spikes through the roof and sometimes will even lock up and crash.



If anyone has some great advise I am absolutly ready for some and would be forever indebted and thankful.Problems with latency and crashing?

Grinding/popping feeling in knee after wearing a store-bought brace for a couple of days?

I've had very weak knees for the last few months, with radiating pain under the knee cap (in a vertical line, starting above and going underneath) particularly when going down stairs. I recently put a LOT of force on it and it got so bad that I couldn't walk without my knee constantly giving out and severe pain.



I have no health insurance, so I resorted to purchasing a knee support brace from Walmart. It has two thick velcroe straps above and below the knee, a round hole over the center of the knee, strong vertical support along the sides of the knee and padding above and below the knee. It isn't very thick but it is supportive and helps keep my leg fairly straight.



The problem now is that after about to days of wearing it whenever walking (which is about a mile a day) when I take it off I notice my kneecap feels out of place slightly. When I put weight on it or straighten it, it feels like the inner side of it is rubbing or grinding (like I imagine the feeling of cartiladge rubbing) and it's very uncomfortable.



There is still a lot of pain when weight is put on my knee while bent, despite anti-inflammatories and cold gel-packs most of the day. Should I be concerned or is it likely to heal soon?



And furthermore, what is the normal time period for something like this to heal well enough to use it during heavy athletics? I walk a lot and play an arcade game called Dance Dance Revolution, which requires stepping/stomping on large arrow buttons, but very quickly, rapidly, and repeatedly. I have never had a problem with my knee until recently but am worried that I may have to stop playing permanently if it doesn't get completely better.Grinding/popping feeling in knee after wearing a store-bought brace for a couple of days?

hate to say but there could honestly be a million %26amp; one things wrong with the knee;; %26amp; a brace should really only be used if ya know what the problem is;; yeah, it gives you support, so you feel some sense of relief;; but it sounds like YOUR kneecap is not meant to travel the normal path of the brace @ this time;; %26amp; for what reason, I do not know (could be a million);; you need to perform strengthening ex's to your knee (pain-free);; %26amp; your "dance revolution" COULD have caused the problems;; you really need a diagnosis to treat this condition;; just cuz it's a knee does not make it a "one-joint-fits-all" kind of rehabbing.. good luck, but time to talk to a doc, cuz it's going on a year now (shouldn't have even waited a month)...

This is in fact my 1st time using this yahoo answers and i hope i can get some helpful answers. on the 15th of march i had a soccer game and got injured on my knee. it was more like my opponent put all his weight on the inside of my knee/upper leg while it was planted into the ground,this then caused the the ligaments on the outside of my knee to give way because of the pressure. the pain was unbearable for someone like me who has played soccer all his life and been hurt before. i did not however hear any popping sounds. i live in kenya and have played in the division one league since the beginning of the year and hoped to go pro seeing as am only 18,by far the youngest and most promising player that my club has. i went to the hospital that evening,with no ice or anything applied. the hospitals in kenya are far from good. i was given crutches and some gel to rub on my knee. nothing more. i then later that week under went x-ray which didn't show much but a slight fracture on the inside of my knee. about a week after my injury,still nothing but some gel,no ice or elevation as i was not advised to do so, i went and saw yet another doctor after getting my MRI done. he said that the results showed that there was a partial tear in my LCL(lateral collateral ligament) and so too with the ACL(anterior cruciate ligament) two days later i underwent arsoscopy surgery whereby the surgeon cut the partially torn bits of the ligament(30%) and left the rest(70%).he then said the ACL was not in as bad a shape as he had thought,and so he left it be. i wonder and would be thankful for any feedback as to whether that 70% of my LCL left can heal itself and be strong enough to support my soccer in the future at hopefully the highest level. the doctor seems to think so. my muscles also shrunk a tremendous amount in my thigh and my calf. through physiotherapy,i have managed to slowly re-build the muscles. i have now reached full range of motion but however when i attempt to walk normally without any sort of limp,the knee locks,this is extremely painful. i have now gotten a phobia of walking because every time i try to do so i end up in pain from the locking.my knee is still somewhat swollen,yet it is coming down and my knee cap is starting to show more. i can also cycle perfectly without any problems

my main questions are:

1)DID MY SURGEON DO THE CORRECT JOB?(Here in Africa,who can i trust surgeons get surgery from money.

You need to be asking these questions of your doctor as s/he is the only one who actually knows what is going on. If you are unsure about the job the surgeon did then you should find another doctor and have that one confirm that it was the correct procedure for your condition. whether youre just starting off or not, it wasnt bad...my suggestion for you is to learn about making music - listen to your favorite artists (its better if its not all rap) and get a feel for what the message is that they are trying to get across...you have a lot of potential with some of the topics in this verse - you just need to expand them...also - when you write your lyrics, write them to an instrumental...you need to develope a sense of rhythm and that will help...stick with this, its not something that happens over night

Can I play soccer if I have fluid and swelling around and under my kneecap?

I hurt my knee on May 15th by sliding into Home Plate. My foot caught the catchers foot at the same time and got jammed. I took a few days off from softball and my knee felt fine. At my next game I was in right field and leaned to my left to catch a grounder when my feet were planted on the ground and my knee completely gave out and made a loud popping sound. I was barley able to walk. I went to the ER and had X-Rays done. Nothing was found, except there was a lot of swelling and bruising so I was put into a knee immobilizer. I had an MRI at the beginning of June and their was just a lot of fluid under my knee cap. I took it easy on my knee, but when I ran for the first time in a month and a half, my knee gave out once again. I was wearing my knee brace again and have been taking it easy since. I am able to run now, but my physical therapist said i would not be able to play soccer this year. It was been a month since i was told that, and now i am having no trouble with walking at all and my knee feels fine. There is still some swelling though. Would i be able to play soccer if there is still some swelling around and under my knee cap?Can I play soccer if I have fluid and swelling around and under my kneecap?
You should just take it easy and rest for the remaining of the year. The chances for your knee to suffer from another trauma during the soccer game are very high. As a result, it will bring you closer to the risk of developing Degenerative Joint Disease.

So, I would be doing a simple task, but it's something that usually has some variety (such as playing a board game, maybe making a deviation in my daily schedule), but then I suddenly get the feeling that I've dreamed this before. Sometimes they would be like a shining light in my mind (Very detailed and precise) While other times they seem foggy and murky (somewhat unclear, but deliver a general meaning) . Usually, when they pop up, I also get a terrible outcome to the situation they're displaying (Such as me losing a game or perhaps even one of the players decides to rage quit the game), and sometimes I even pick up on little details before they happen, such as a few of the random numbers that someone writes down. When I feel these, I become extremely cautious and decide what I say very carefully, trying to change the fate. However, sometimes I think that the recolection happens at the same time as the event, while others it happens a little before I realize it. In the end, though, the terrible event rarely ever happens, and life continues on in as though everything was normal. I'm wondering if I'm just experiencing extreme deja vu or if I have an overactive imagination, but I'm just asking you guys any sort of comments you have on this situation.



Side note: I've been noticing that I've become very associative: I REALLY LIKE IT WHEN THINGS RELATE EVEN THOUGH THEY DON'T. Forgive the Caps, but it's something that really has been bugging me, and I just can't stop. I'll try to compare something to a completely unrelated object, such as "Oh, a tennis ball is just like a baseball because of the groove pattern on the surface."I feel like my dreams are happening?

Anyone recommend some fallout new vegas mods?

Hi, can anyone recommmend some fallout new vegas mods to make the game a little 'easier'.

Its not that im finding the game hard or anything, I just dont have the time on my hands to play it through properly as much as id like,

So although i dont want a god mode mod or anything i am looking for maybe a few mods that may help me cheat just a little without ruining the game.



I have been looking through fallout nexus for some, but im not exactly sure what im looking for lol. Mayebe a mod to increase the amount i can carry, a secret stash of respawing stimpaks where i can pop by every now and again to pick a few up to help me along a little in my travels, a little supply of caps etc ....this kind of thing.



But im open for any options really. And any other mods youd like to recommmend, not just gameplay mods.

Depending on your definition of easier, I have a few answers. If you're looking for an easier time with enemies or the micromanagement aspects of New Vegas, such as decreasing damage received, damage dealt, or even the amount of stuff you can carry, there's a few mods out at the New Vegas Nexus already.



If you're looking for an easier time such as with having gun sights aligned properly (cough service rifle anyone?) then check out the second source link.



Past that, I'd also recommend using GECK for anything minor like a stimpak supply. (Though, you can always just scavenge as you go while holding as much as you need.)

What did I do to myy knee? ASAP HELP!!?

well first of all i am 13. and my knee has been hurting me for 7 months. and i went to an orthopedic and i got an MRI. The MRI says nothing is wrong with it. But after I got the MRI it popped and its hurt more and more everyday now. and it hurts just where the knee cap stops and up the side in the inside. And yesterday at a basketball game a girl came into me and it was the side of my hurt knee. I wear a knee brace and everything its a sports one. and what does this sound like? and tears or anything? what is the way to treat it? and how do i make it better? I am going to a hospital in springfield. march 4th. but i don't know if i can wait this long. sooo pleaseee HELP!What did I do to myy knee? ASAP HELP!!?
Well first off, we need to know what happened 7 months ago to have a general idea. I have had knee problems since my freshman year in high school (I'm a junior right now), and trust me, it's no fun.



Best bet is to just wait out the time before you can see a doctor, if it's swelling, put ice on it and try to stay off it when at home.

ok so last night i had a basketball game. at half time my right knee felt weird like it needed to be popped. do you know what i mean? like it felt it just needed to be cracked like a back. that's all it usually takes.

Whats this weird bubble on my gums?

I have the symptoms of an abscessed tooth on my gums, in a place i have no tooth, slightly over a year ago i got a root canal and full cap. It never healed right. and the cap its self is sensitive to hot and cold (which blows my mind because i have no nerve in the tooth, never mind the cap) Ive also had pain while chewing, and recently w small bubble formed on the gums under the game. when i press it it feels as though something in the bubble. is popping back inside



.. please dont just tell me to go to the dentist. I do not have insurance.Whats this weird bubble on my gums?
It is an abcess caused by a botched root canal and the roots werent done right and now are re-infected. I am dealing with the same thing this very moment, the only thing you can do is to get antibiotics, pain killers and see if you can get is drained. Then you will also need to have the root canal re-done. I would submit a letter to the dentist who did it in the first place to have him pay for the re-treatment.

CHAPTER ONE

It is burning hot outside, it is so hot I can boil some eggs on the sidewalk. When we moved to L.A we didn’t know we were going to be staying in the desert. Hi, my name is Samantha, but my friends call me Sam. Well, actually my friends at home. We just moved here last month and tomorrow school begins. Luckily, I won’t be the only new kid. I haven’t met anyone yet cause I hardly go outside. I’m always inside my room reading a book or on the computer emailing my friends back at home. The closest I get to going outside is checking the mail. My Father says I can’t even walk Olivia (our dog) outside until I get use to the community directions.

Well, right now I am actually reading a book called “Little Women” I absolutely love that book it is one of my favorites. I was turning to page 250 when my brother walked in with his baseball shirt and baseball cap Mom sewed which read “Robison Family Team”. I have one to cause me and my brother love to baseball. We both hate the name, but Mom says she won’t buy us another one or sew another one until we outgrow these. I completely hated the bet, but there was nothing I could do.

“Hey, you up for a game of ball?” Nick asked me bouncing his baseball in his hand from side-to-side. I smiled and set my bookmark on the page. I ran to my closet and grabbed my baseball cap. I reached inside and pulled out of pack of gum. I unwrapped the piece and dropped it on the floor.

“Let’s go,” I called out. We jogged downstairs and burst out to the backyard. We found Dad outside shooting hoops. I sighed. The only reason he played basketball was to get in “shape”. Nick and I searched around for loose pieces of papers, chip bags, and soda cans. I found one and he found two then we set them down as bases. Nick was the pitcher and I was the batter. Nick threw the ball and I missed. Our eyes both followed the ball which rolled behind me. I popped my gum and shrugged.

“Get the ball bozo,” I ordered. “It’s right behind you,” Nick exclaimed. I popped my gum again, and it get stuck on my face. I quickly took it off so I could argue with Nick.

“Yeah, but if I touch the ball I’ll get out,” I explained. “No, you won’t Nick nodded. I squinted my eyes giving him a look. We stared at each other for about 2 seconds then Nick sighed throwing his baseball cap down. Then he walked towards the ball. I giggled sneaking out another piece of gum.

“Thank you, normal people actually consider a complete,” I taunted back at him. I snatched the ball and walked into the house. Mother called my name as soon as the door swung open. I sighed glancing at my watch. I knew it was dinner time and she wanted me to help her. She’s always going on and on about how 14-year-olds are always cooking dinner for their families. I tried to explain to my Mother that I’m not those type of girlie-girls.

“Want to help cook dinner sweetie,” my Mother asked. I sat down at the counter and did a fake and friendly smile. “No, Mom I think I’ll pass,” I said. Mother mumbled to herself as she stirred the spaghetti. Although, I had to admit it did look fun. I imagined my brother and I cooking dinner and all of a sudden we’re having this big food fight. It would be so great to be covered in spaghetti sauce. I would taste and smell so good.

Although, so people would be allergic to me and that would be really bad. Dogs might even try to eat me, on second thought I’d rather just smell like my normal-self. Speaking of smell I smell like grass. Maybe after dinner I should go take a shower. Nah! We don’t want everyone losing their appetite because of my mustiness.

Meanwhile, I had taken my shower and we just settling down for dinner. I sat down in my seat and looked at my mashed potatoes. I used to love mashed potatoes, but Mother’s mashed potatoes were worser than our school’s mashed potatoes. I scrunched up my nose.Is this a good story so far and can you help finish half?
i would change the intro it kinda sounds like your writting a paper about your summer. also dont make things go by so fast and maybe add more dialog. also you said something about a food fight and i got alittle lost? you might want to involve the mom getting mad or something and talk about it more. also you dont have to put the girls whole background into the whole intro, you could split it up through the first chapter. but other than that good job =]Is this a good story so far and can you help finish half?

The content is good, but it is a bit broken up with a lot of run on sentances and repetative words (For example you wrote: I absolutely love that book it is one of my favorites. IT is supposed to be: I absolutely love that book. It is one of my favorites.) Just minor little things like that. Also, worser isn't a word. It's worse. Just fix a few things like that, and it's great!!

XP not booting, bad image?

When I try to boot up, the caps light flashes once, the fan goes constantly but the screen stays black. It started in the middle of a game when it just froze. Tried ctrl/alt/del for task manager but stayed froze. Switched off at mains and now this. It has booted once or twice and froze again but whilst bootin had a bad image message pop up and some wowfx message. Help appreciated. ThanksXP not booting, bad image?

Should I see the doc AGAIN?

I was playing with my 150 pound Saint Bernard last weeken in the yard when she started to get excited and run around the house at full speed. She does this often....they are like short bursts of pure adrenaline. Anyway, normally she'll only come so close so I have to pretend to chase her like a game of tag, but I mistakenly took a wrong step just as she did, and 150 pounds of pure speed like a freight train barreled right into my knee. It was enough force to send to the ground, and I felt the pain immediately. I couldn't even stand up for about 30 seconds, and the pain was terrible. Once I was up, though, I could limp on it a little bit. I thought it was just a bruise and that it was fine and would go away immediately, but I limped on it all day and then for three days straight. After the three days, the pain went away, and I thought that was the end of it. Well, a couple days ago, I was at a friends house climbing the stairs and the pain came back. I only felt it when climbing the stairs, and it was hard to get up or down them. This time I went to see my doctor and he checked it and told me to ice it and rest it, ect and that it would be fine. Well, just yesterday I was feeding my horses and my dog did it again!! (She gets so excited, but her weight and size makes her destructive...) So she plowed into me again on the same knee. It wasn't as hard as last time, but it made it hurt much more. Today, I can hardly walk on it, and I can't bend my leg. Also, when I put my hand on my knee cap and move my leg, I can feel it popping and moving under my touch. I don't want to be a baby and have to go back into the doctor just to have him tell me the same thing, but it never popped/moved before. Could she have knocked it out of place? I can't kneel down or use stairs cuz it hurts too much.Should I see the doc AGAIN?

What should I upgrade my gaming PC with?

I'm trying to get TOR to a reasonable FPS even in graphic intensive scenes and cities. i've managed to wrangle a standard 30-40 fps which is absolutely tolerable, but it drops down to 20 or so in congested areas, and plummets to 5-7 fps at times, which is very uncomfortable. This is at the game's Low setting. I'm not a tech savant, which is why i'm asking here for a second opinion - but I am comfortable with overclocking.



Here's my specs:



Windows 7

Asus motherboard. Not a very good one - does not support CPU bios overclocking.

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 CPU, 3.00 ghz (Potentially overclockable, but my motherboard is locked down tighter than fort knox)

GeForce 550 Ti overclocked by roughly 25% using EVGA Precision.

3GB Ram

Sufficient memory %26amp; power supply.

Fan cooled case, but considerably well-to-do for what it is.



Trying to identify the pieces that are most desperately in need of replacement. As I said, i'm using this rig for gaming, and i'd like to get it in respectable shape. I'd like to do this without breaking the bank as much as I can.



Currently my thoughts are to upgrade the RAM by a GB or so. Windows 7 is a memory hungry sucker, and I notice in task manager that my hardware memory is often capped out when i'm playing TOR. But then i'm divided because it is, naturally, a FPS issue. Upgrading my GPU would be a little more expensive, but i'm not sure if upgrading the CPU would be a more framerate-happy way of helping my PC. I had heard of people using two graphics cards at the same time - I could consider buying another geforce 550 TI to pop in there, but would that be better than buying an entirely new graphics card?What should I upgrade my gaming PC with?
I'd say get at least 8 GB of RAM and get a really nice graphics card and maybe upgrade the mother board.What should I upgrade my gaming PC with?
I would upgrade the motherboard. Do a substantial upgrade, don't go out and get another board just to support your current processor. Get a new current board that supports a core i5 - core i7 and get yourself a new processor while you are at it, BUT you will need new triple channel memory when doing it, almost all new boards will require DDR3 with the exception of some odd ends. Might as well get 8gb of memory, the more the merrier.

FSX Acceleration: game crashes and mysteriously restarts the computer?

Okay. So I am new to Accelation. But I have played FSX for years... One thing that is mysteriously happening is that here:



1. Whenever I play a mission, or a free flight, it plays for a while,

2. But then after a few minutes (2-5 mins I guess) it then crashes with that buzzing sound I am hearing and the keyboard's lights (num lock, caps lock, and scroll lock) light won't open.

3. Then after a few minutes the screen went black and then I realized that the computer miraculously restarts.



4. I tried a couple of solutions from the internet like Disk Cleanup and the 'program open automatically during startup' thing some sort like that but then nothing happens.





Could be the reason is the FSX Acceleration? FSX itself (w/o acceleration) works.







For more informations here is what happened to be exact:

1. Open the FSX

2. A pop-out window shows with a message about ''Scenery file error, cannot read the Scenery.cfg file of (Scenery/USS_NIMITS_Rio.cfg)

3. I just clicked OK

4. Go to missions.

5. Select ''Carrier lessons" ( because all i want in FSX is the carrier ops and the f-18 Hornet)

6. play the game

7. when I am about taxiing to the catapult, then the BIG EVENT HAPPENS....FSX Acceleration: game crashes and mysteriously restarts the computer?
I think your smps's fan is not working you can identify it easily when you open your cabinet and you will find a big box having a fan which is situated in it, if this is the problem then change your smps and you will be free....

My knee pops in and out a lot.. kinda scary!?

so my knee has been popping out. like 8-10 times in the past couple years. I work hard to try and strengthen it, it just seems like it never really helps. like a couple days ago i was running the bases in my softball game and i must have rounded wrong or something and my knee jolted out of place and i fell to the ground. I held it tight and it popped back in within about 10 seconds. i was in such bad pain though, it took me about 5 minutes, but when i got up and walked it felt a little better. I think it was my knee cap, but im not sure. my mom said i might need arthroscopic surgery :( is this true? my knee hurts terribly when i bend down and its crunched up like a crouched position. and i cant really twist with it at all. and when i sit and stand up i have to be careful and straighten it gently and then put weight on it gradually before i walk otherwise it like wont hold my weight. my coach told me i cant play until i get my knee checked out, and im really scared i have to have surgery. please help me out! thank you so much!My knee pops in and out a lot.. kinda scary!?
More than likely you have patella femoral syndrome, it is the most common cause of anterior(front) knee pain.



Patella femoral syndrome is caused by an imbalance in your quadriceps(muscles in your thigh) two of the muscles in your thigh work together to pull your patella(knee cap) up a groove in your femur(thigh bone), but sometimes one will start pulling more than the other and grind your patella into your femur. Symptoms include pain located on the sides of the kneecap, discomfort under the patella, sometimes mild swelling and occasional popping of the knee. Running, sprinting, jumping, going up and down stairs, and squatting are all things that can increase patella femoral pain. Anyway it is know by many names: runner's knee, jumper's knee, swimmer's knee, etc.

If it's a reoccurring thing then you may need surgery. There is probably scar tissue in your knee that is weaker than it is regularly and that may be why your knee is popping out of place. As for your softball games try wearing a knee brace that supports your knee and see if that doesn't help.

Same knee pain for three years now after accident?

About 3 years ago, I fell on my left knee while running, and I landed with all my weight on my knee. My knee has never been the same since then. Every time I walk upstairs, or bend my knee without stopping, I feel pressure at the bottom of my knee cap, and I hear and feel popping. Also, when I walk, I have major pressure and pain deep in the middle of my knee, and at the bottom of my knee cap. I also get pain at the top inside of my thigh, that makes me have to stop walking and rest for awhile. I use to be very active, but now I can't get through a volleyball game without having to rest my knee. I have a baker cyst in my knee, but the doctor said that the cyst isn't the cause of my pain. I have searched the internet endlessly, and I haven't found an answer for my knee problem yet. I have been to multiple orthopedic surgeons, and they have all said different things. One said it's puberty and growing pain, and another said I was born with this, which doesn't make sense because this pain never happened before my accident. Does this problem sound familiar to you? Since this happened after a hard fall I would suspect you may have torn something in your knee. I would go to the doctor and tell them you want a MRI. A X-ray will only show the bone. A MRI will show soft tissue as well. If something is torn the MRI in most cases will show it. Good Luck.Same knee pain for three years now after accident?
When you fell on your knee the tendon for the muscle for your kneecap tightened up pulling the kneecap up on and into the knee to make it hard and painful to bend your knee. This can be released to get rid of the pain but is difficult to do and should be done by one trained to do so. Did want you to know what it was at least.

Tore something in my knee?

I was playing indoor soccer earlier today, and basically got tripped and landed in an odd position, i cant explain it all that well, but i could feel something poping, turning, twisting, ect. i played the rest of the game, but it was at a limp, and i had to have my leg slightly bent, but stiff when running. i have been icing it all day and have kept off it as much as possible, but whenever i bend my knee it is obviously very painfull, but the more i bend it a lump pops out of the area near my knee cap, but to the inside, what did i do?Tore something in my knee?
i had something similar happen to me, you wont be normal for a while and it will more than likely never be all the way normal. it will eventually heal and you will stop feeling constant pain but unless someone else flips the bill like if its a school thing or what not its going to be alot to get it fixed.Tore something in my knee?
Three possibilities; a meniscus tear, an ACL tear or both. Tell the coach and have him fill out the accident form so you can see an orthopaedic sports medicine doctor. He'll more than likely get an MRI to find out for certain what you did. In the meantime don't flex your knee beyond ninety degrees in case it's a meniscus tear and even better get a knee immobilizer to prevent you from bending your knee. If it hurts to walk on then get a pair of crutches and use them until you get an MRI.

any body else disapointed, there is no explantion of the game, no big ending scene, ganon was way to easy, and you cant save when 'the end' pops out just like one of the downers in ocarina of time, i mean, in minish cap u could save, just so it says u beat the game and you can keep playing to do the sidequests, only everyone apreciates that u saved them, is that too complicated to incorporate, what took them an extra year and a half to come out with this game, and 70 hrs of gameplay my eye, i beat it in 40 first run through not knowing what to do, and i did almost all side quests, i'm missing 11 heart containers, which isnt all that much!Zelda twilight princess disapointing ending?

yes the game was very easy. Ganon was a breeze. more of an endurance trial then truly difficult. I thought the ending was more depressing then dissapointing. if you watched the credits I thought it really did explain alot (no where near ALL of the story) I beat it in about 57 hours but I did alot of pointless wandering and paused it a couple times while I made and ate dinner and forgot it was on, I was only missing 3-4 heart containers. I think I actually only DIED like 3-4 times.maybe. and they were mostly cause I was an idiot. Really easy, disappointing because no save after you beat it, but not a bad ending or game all in all.
i admit the game was easy. but the ending wasn't that dissapointing. there was a ending cut scene to tell you what happened. the story line was great. the game was just too easy, and yes gannon was way to easy. they spent the extra time on glitchs in the game and improving the graphics a bit because they were probably holding out until the wii came out.

Knee popping and slight heat?

I was playing with my 150 pound Saint Bernard last weeken in the yard when she started to get excited and run around the house at full speed. She does this often....they are like short bursts of pure adrenaline. Anyway, normally she'll only come so close so I have to pretend to chase her like a game of tag, but I mistakenly took a wrong step just as she did, and 150 pounds of pure speed like a freight train barreled right into my knee. It was enough force to send to the ground, and I felt the pain immediately. I couldn't even stand up for about 30 seconds, and the pain was terrible. Once I was up, though, I could limp on it a little bit. I thought it was just a bruise and that it was fine and would go away immediately, but I limped on it all day and then for three days straight. After the three days, the pain went away, and I thought that was the end of it. Well, a couple days ago, I was at a friends house climbing the stairs and the pain came back. I only felt it when climbing the stairs, and it was hard to get up or down them. This time I went to see my doctor and he checked it and told me to ice it and rest it, ect and that it would be fine. Well, just yesterday I was feeding my horses and my dog did it again!! (She gets so excited, but her weight and size makes her destructive...) So she plowed into me again on the same knee. It wasn't as hard as last time, but it made it hurt much more. Today, I can hardly walk on it, and I can't bend my leg. Also, when I put my hand on my knee cap and move my leg, I can feel it popping and moving under my touch. I don't want to be a baby and have to go back into the doctor just to have him tell me the same thing, but it never popped/moved before. Could she have knocked it out of place? I can't kneel down or use stairs cuz it hurts too much. Also, there's a little bit of heat in it. At this very moment, I'm walking on it better, and it doesn't hurt as much to walk....I'm sure it will come back, but I don't know...Knee popping and slight heat?
Consider the job your knees do every day - they support your body weight and bend with every step, move, jump you take.



I injured my knee through overworking it one night - it hurt for three days, I couldn't extend it completely, but the pain would show up intermittently and wasn't steady all the time. Turns out, I had what's called a plica - it's a band of scar tissue that you're either born prone to, or not, and once it's inflamed it usually needs to be removed.



Going back to the doctor doesn't make you a baby - it makes you smart. They're trained, and degree'd in that sort of thing and the longer you wait, the worse it could get. Go to your doctor and ask for a referral to an orthopedic doctor, aka a joint doctor.



Get it checked out, take x-rays and MRIs if you have to - I had a simple scope surgery in May and I'm back to my regular workout now in July. It's worth checking out, and worth repairing. I hope it gets better, knee injuries are major and can make even things you thought were simple difficult. :(

Chances the muscle under the knee cap is bruised. And when your dog ran into you again it was bruised even more. Just take it easy. Just beware, the bruise (without re-injuring) takes a long time to heal. So you might be in pain for a while. And the pain will feel better, but a simple twist will remind you that it's still hurt.



With the re-injuring, it will take longer. Just take pain killers and put a knee brace (ace bandage) on it. That helps.

Whats causing my knee pain? How to fix it?

I have had knee pain since last November (November 2010)



Here is a little background on the subject:



It started after a game of soccer. I went to the dining hall with my friends sat down and ate, when I stood up my knee had swelled up and slightly hurt.

I played on it for the next 2 months, without it getting any better so I decided to take two months off. After the two months my knee still hurt.



I have been to doctors and they have told me it is Osgood Slaughters, however I have had Osgood Slaughters since I was very young and this is not Osgood Slaughters.



Here is a quick description of the pain:



My knee is soar almost all the time.

It hurts more while I am active (I wear a knee brace to help counteract this).

I play almost every/ any sport and it is soar in all cases.

It swells slightly after activity.

The main pain is located at the bottom inner side of my knee cap, close to the tendon.

When I bend my knee in and out it pops and cracks and my knee cap moves very slightly.



If anyone knows what may be causing this pain or any remedies, I am willing to try anything, I would greatly appreciate it.
