Will these mushrooms grow?

So I purchased an ounce of powdered mushroom (Amanita Muscaria, aka Fly Agaric, the famous one with the bright red cap and white dots seen in Mario games and gnome houses) from a reliable vendor online. Ive kept them for a couple months in a cool, dark drawer in their original bag. Recently its been raining, and lotsa mushies have popped up around here. So for fun and curiosity, i took a pinch of this ground mushroom and just sprinkled some on and near the base of a California Redwood (I read they grow with conicle furs, closest i had to one), as an attempt to cultivate this wonderful mushroom.

Will anything grow??

Here's the site: http://www.arenaethnobotanicals.com/agar鈥?/a>

Powdered Amanitas arent always on the site, but some information about the product can be found at the bottom of the text. Will these mushrooms grow?
Unfortunately for you, the answer is no. There is no debate. Fly agarics are next to impossible to cultivate even by experts. You can visit www.shroomery.org and read through posts on the subject. All the experienced growers will give the same opinion. You have the right idea that they need a conifer to grow under. However, you would never be able to get them started with dried mushrooms. It may possible to grow other species of mushrooms by reconstituting dried mushroom, particularly the gills, in water and growing them out on agar. All of this takes a bit of experience with mycology and lots of sterility. But when speaking of amanita, it's pretty much out of the question. If you are interested in growing edible and medicinal mushrooms, you can check out forums like the Shroomery or Mycotopia. You can also buy a video called "Let's Grow Mushrooms." This is perhaps the best resource on the subject from beginner to advanced grower. Will these mushrooms grow?
They might, but mushrooms are bioaccumulators; so if the soil in which they're planted happens to contain heavy metals or other minerals that accumulate, you could be poisoning yourself should you actually eat them. The muscimol and muscarine would be the least of your worries. Will these mushrooms grow?
Looks to me like those are shrooms. Which when you eat them you are giving yourself food poisoning. You need to grow those in a highly sterile area. They can be very dangerous when not grown properly.
They might, if there were spores in the powder you sprinkled, especially since you tried to match their normal growing conditions. Keep the area moist but not saturated for a while to let them get established. Remember that the visible mushroom is just the fruiting body, and most of the mushroom is invisible threads growing in the soil.

Also note that the fly agaric is one of the most poisonous mushrooms there is, and if there are children or animals around they could eat them and become sick or even killed. That leaves you liable for it. Raising these without adequate protection is incredibly dangerous.
