When I try to boot up, the caps light flashes once, the fan goes constantly but the screen stays black. It started in the middle of a game when it just froze. Tried ctrl/alt/del for task manager but stayed froze. Switched off at mains and now this. It has booted once or twice and froze again but whilst bootin had a bad image message pop up and some wowfx message. Help appreciated. ThanksXP not booting, bad image?

boot from the installation cd run the recovery console when it comes up run first " chkdsk /r" then "fixmbr" then "fixboot" then reboot if that doesn't work boot again from the cd and do a repair install it will not touch your data filesXP not booting, bad image?
System recovery make sure your bios is set to boot from the cd/dvd drive and insert the disk/s you should have made or what came with your pc when you bought it and reboot
