neither nvidia or ati is better than the other across the board. for that price range i'd consider
GeForce 9800 GTX+ or Radeon HD 4850
you should also get another gig or so of ram. it's cheap and is a good boost for performance.NVIDIA GeForce vs. ATI Radeon graphics card...?
I usually go for Nvidia.
But you'll have to look at what price you are willing to pay.
Look for the memory, processor speed, max supported resolution,...NVIDIA GeForce vs. ATI Radeon graphics card...?
nVidia is better known, and generally better, but Ati can make a mean card. depends on what your looking for. and price. price is everything.
$90-120? I'd get a 9600 GSO (if you have the PCIe 6-pin PSU) and alittle more RAM. If your PSU has only MOLEX connecters get a 8600 GTS.
I lack experience in ATI to recommend equivalent cards, but I have heard there alittle finicky at times.
