Because I'm white.
When I go to the studio, with my boys, who are mostly black, I always have some sort of discrepancy. I don't rap, I just make beats and ghost write.
Yesterday night, we went to a pretty seedy neighborhood to do a collabo with this one click...
When it was gettin' too real for a niqqa, my niqqa's brother's best friend had to say:
"Niqqa, why you always bring dis square a$$ cracka ta da session. He ain't bout it"
He has a reputation for being the resident jay-cat, so I wasn't flustered. I just sat back and let my buddy do the talking.
"Niqqa, he come wit all the sh1t niqqa, why you hatin'?"
That usually quiets the rowdy kids down.
The music making continued, and we got a pretty nice product out of the smoke filled chaos. When were about to leave the a-jole spoke up one more time.
"I'm farreal, niqqa, I ain't feelin all dis ol' inspector gadget type ********-"
I really wanted to say something at this point, my friends already walked out of the door in front of me. I saw the perfect opportunity to get the last word in before I left (or a cap popped in my @ss)..But I took the high road and scraped back to the 'burbs.
As I was closing the door, I remember hearing him say " Punk a$$ white boy.."
I think I make pretty good music, I haven't heard any complaints (except from my family).
However, I think there might be a problem with me being white. Do you think my skin color will prevent me from being successful in the hip hop/ rap game?
I already know about producers like Scott Storch and rappers like YelaWolf, so don't elude to any successful white people in the rap game. I'm looking for local notoriety, ya know, 'street cred'.I think I don't get any respect in the music industry?
The rap industry doesn't hate white people. Look at Eminem and other artists. Eminem was given a top award and Dr. Dre (a black man) discovered him. If you're having problems in the rap industry, go into rock n' roll, country or opera.
The problem with you isn't that you're white. The problem is that you're a troll.
This is so FAKE %26amp; GAY..... I mean, you went through all that trouble to type psycho lies?I think I don't get any respect in the music industry?
Cool novel bro
Maybe the problem is the fact that you were saying niqqa..I mean outside of quoting what the other guys said you used it twice when you said "When it was gettin' too real for a niqqa, my niqqa's brother's best friend had to say..." If you you were talking like that through out the night even I'd want to kick your a$$ and I'm white.
If you're not being yourself no one is going to respect...in the the music industry and in life. Some people might be just racist and not like white people...that's life. But if you're out there trying to talk the talk thinking that will help you fit in...it won't.I think I don't get any respect in the music industry?
i don't know its always going to be hard to a white person to be cool i think its because people put them in the "pop" category its hard for a white guy especially, you see a girl can flash her booty or whatnot and people forget shes white for a minuet, i'd say you've got it easier than ever people, people like asher roth emeinem broke the ice so to speak, i wouldn't let it get to you i'm sure theres gonna be more to worry about than name calling, trust
