If your knee cap is popping go see a Orthopedic doc, keep wearing the knee support. I have meniscus degeneration which is a wearing away of the cartilage (cushion) between the thigh and leg bone - this is a very common condition. I wear a knee support and perform certain exercises to strengthen the muscle around this area. My knee had a ticking sound like snapping green beans and I had sudden sharp pain in the back of my knee. I had to get an MRI; you should do the same.I'm 35yr old male. My knee hurt after bowling 6 months back or so... the one that takes the weight. Bursytis?
Well you could have done anything to your knee. The first thing to do is GO TO YOUR DOCTOR. Dorry to spell it out like that but you could have done some serious damage to it. If your knee is wobbly and gives way a bit you could have damaged your ACL (ligament). You could have torn other ligaments as well and maybe torn your meniscus. If the pain and swelling is still there then you must get it looked at - if just for your peace of mind.
You can consult this website www.kneeguru.co.uk where loads of people have knee issues and you can ask questions.
I wish you luck but you should have gone to the Doc's earlier.

I'm a 42 yr old female. I've been running 2.6 miles every day for two months straight and I've been having increasing pain in one knee, it almost feels like I turn it in slightly and causes it to become misaligned. My fitness instructor at my college said part or most of it is age and I just need to do strengthening exercises on that knee and actually draw the alphabet with the corresponding foot to stretch that knee out. I don't know the answer but I can really identify - I hope it improves and something I've said helps.
