my computer's keyboard wasn't working and someone made the smart move of turning off the computer. there was a password on the only account and the keyboard isn't working at all. the on screen keyboardwon't pop up and my parents will probably not get a new keyboard until school starts and then we won't have enough time to actually have fun and games and stuff. is there any way to get pass the password and if there isn't how do you completely erase a computer's information? the keyboard works slightly ctr won't work neither will shift, cap locks, the letter "n", "m", "v", "b", "z", "p", "s", "x" , "l" "c" and i need all those letters for my password so its impossible. how to erase computer? my brother knows how but refuses to do so and is now playing video games. there is no other computer i can go on because my sister's and my dad's have passwords and i'm not allowed to install games on it. please help me. I'm assuming your using windows xp home
to do so restart the computer and press the F8 key as soon as the computer turns on. it give you a list of option to choose from pick safe mode. once in safe mode click on adminstator and hope it doesn't have a password once you log on click on control panel then click on user accounts pick the account that has a password look for the option "remove password" then click on it that will completely remove the passwordErasing a computer completely
everyone else sucks. call the geek squad? if my parents refuse to pay $15 for a keyboard what makes you think they'll pay geek squad? and if i could borrow a keyboard from someone else why the hell would i be asking this questions?!?!?!?

call the geek squad. they're amazing
Just borrow a keyboard from someone else's PC. You need a working keyboard to erase it and reinstall everything.
